In 2017, Mexico suffered a devastating earthquake that destroyed several buildings, including the offices of the sugar mill E.Z. Our mission was to create a building using our client’s signature block, an eco-sustainable block made from the waste of sugar cane cremation. Making this block the protagonist of the project, we achieved an interesting structure based on arches that span exemplary clear spans, creating work-friendly spaces.
The climate and area are unique; therefore, heights, orientation, and ventilation had to be meticulously studied to create suitable indoor climates for work and natural lighting.
During construction, we were responsible for ensuring the architectural design, and as we can observe, the project met the requirements and expectations.
